Last updated: 15 October 2026

This notice explains how Manuka Honeymoon processes the personal data of people who contact us through manukahoneymoon.com to request information or quotations for our wedding planning services.

1. Data controller

The data controller is Gaia Segantin / Mānuka Honeymoon, based at De Stelling 58, 1398 DN, Netherlands.

For privacy enquiries or to exercise your rights, please contact: gaia.segantin@manukahoneymoon.com.

2. Personal data we collect

We process information you provide through our contact form and subsequent correspondence, which may include:

Your name and surname.

Your email address and telephone number, if provided.

Wedding details, such as the proposed date, location, estimated number of guests and budget.

Your message and any attachments.

Please provide only information relevant to your enquiry. At this stage, please avoid sharing health information, religious beliefs or other sensitive personal data about yourself or your guests.

3. Purposes and legal bases

We use your personal data to respond to enquiries, check availability, arrange consultations and prepare proposals or quotations.

Where your enquiry concerns a potential wedding planning engagement, processing is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract, under Article 6(1)(b) of the General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”).

For general correspondence unrelated to a potential engagement, processing is based on our legitimate interest in managing and responding to communications, under Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR.

Submitting an enquiry does not subscribe you to a newsletter or promotional communications. Any marketing activities will be explained separately and, where required, subject to your specific, optional consent.

4. Providing your information

Required fields are identified in the contact form. Without the information necessary to understand your enquiry and contact you, we may be unable to respond. Providing other information is optional.

5. How we process and share your data

We process personal data electronically and use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect it against unauthorised access, loss and misuse.

Access is limited to the data controller and any authorised team members who need the information to handle your enquiry.

We may also use service providers for website hosting, contact form management, email and contact storage. Where these providers process personal data on our behalf, they act as data processors under appropriate contractual arrangements.

Service providers used:

Where necessary to fulfil your request, we may share limited information with wedding venues or suppliers to obtain availability or quotations. We share only the information necessary for that purpose.

We do not sell or publicly disclose your personal data. We may disclose information to competent authorities where required by law.

6. International transfers

If the services we use involve transferring personal data outside the European Economic Area, this section will identify the relevant countries or providers and the applicable safeguards. These may include a European Commission adequacy decision or Standard Contractual Clauses, supplemented by additional safeguards where necessary.

7. How long we retain your data

Enquiries that do not lead to an engagement are retained for a period of 12 months after the last relevant communication. They are then deleted or anonymised.

If you become a client, we will provide information about processing your data to deliver our services and meet applicable administrative and tax obligations.

Where a dispute arises, we may retain the information necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims for as long as required for that purpose.

8. Your rights

Subject to the conditions set out in the GDPR, you may request access to your personal data, correction, deletion, restriction of processing and data portability.

You may also object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.

To exercise your rights, contact [email address]. We will normally respond within one month of receiving your request. If a legally permitted extension is necessary, we will inform you.

You may lodge a complaint with a competent data protection authority, particularly in the country of your habitual residence, place of work or the alleged infringement.

In the Netherlands, the supervisory authority is the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens: https://www.autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl.

9. Automated decision-making

We do not use contact enquiry data for decisions based solely on automated processing that produce legal or similarly significant effects.
