I believe that a wedding is more than an event: it is a carefully designed experience that reflects the unique soul of your relationship and during which you will create memories that will last forever.

My story and how I got here

Hello you, 

Thank you for being on my website to brief up about dreams and ideas for one of the most magical days of your life. 

Let me introduce myself, so you have a better idea of what my role could be in the preparation of your special day.

My name is Gaia, I am from Italy, and I live in the Netherlands. Back home is on the shores of the Lake of Como, in Bellano, and in the Netherlands, I live in Muiden, close to Amsterdam. 

In 2025, I got married myself, and preparing the wedding together with the amazing vendors we chose was the best thing I have ever done in my life. What I really enjoyed was coordinating the vendors and managing such a special project. I loved thinking along the creative aspects and the story telling of our emotions and our story to the guests, and how we would communicate what really stood with us. I loved designing the story telling part in a way that it would create specific emotions of kindness, a sense of belonging, and gratitude in our guests, because that was us and what we wanted our guests to feel like. 

The wedding was amazing, it was indeed the best weekend of our life and soon after I realized how much I was missing the organization of it, considering that I am also a very organized, determined and structured person… for me having something to coordinate is always fun!

A few months after I decided to start my business as a wedding designer and coordinator, and here I am now telling you my story, because if we don’t dare to dream, what are we here for?

Being from Italy, I can organise your dream wedding in any place along the Italian beautiful landscapes as I can help you navigating the complex Italian bureaucracy, administrative aspects, the language barrier and all the cultural aspects related to the events world in Italy, and to the Italian way of communication and doing things in general. Instead, if you prefer to be closer to your home, I am happy to work with Benelux weddings as well, as I am located in the Netherlands and would be happy to bring some of the Italian taste to your special event. I can take care of all the planning and coordination and help you to be lighter and more free to enjoy the emotions that this phase of life brings.

For me, what really matters is the connection with people. So, my goal in the preparation of your wedding is not solely planning and coordination, but I put the accent on story telling: deeply connection with you and helping you understand what are your core values that define you as a couple, and how to communicate them to your guests. In this way, I can be your wedding journey sweetener, somebody that can help you make things a bit easier in such an emotional rollercoaster that wedding preparation can be. Kindness, deep conversations and care are my language of love, both personal and professional, and I put myself in designing the perfect event so that my empathy can help you to understand how to communicate who you are as a couple. My style is playful and colourful, and I am all about visuals, illustrations, pretty objects, creative communications and good vibes, and I am happy to help you find your way and make it sparkle. 

Considering myself as a wedding journey sweetener… that’s where the name came from…

Why the name

Mānuka honeymoon wedding and emotions design, special moments of life sweetener, and wedding dream realisation.

Why Mānuka honey? Because this type of honey helps you to deinflammate your body. It is extremely good for your health and it sweetens up everything in a positive and healthy way. Moreover, I have lived in New Zealand and that’s my home away from home, a place I love and feel connected to. Because my memories there give me a lot of strength, and I met beautiful people at the antipodes, I wanted my name to remind me of this beautiful land, because far away is never too far away and distant if you connect with the people and find love. 

Moreover, I do not only offer services as a wedding designer, planner, and coordinator, but I can help you further with planning your honey moon (especially in Oceania and the pacific, even though I can work with destinations all over the world), and I wanted to have a name that remind us of something exotic, that links us to the dimension of travelling, such as this beautiful Māori word “Mānuka”, the tree from which the bees make the Mānuka honey. 

I’d be honoured to be your wedding planning sweetener and related-stress reliever, and that’s why I would like to add some “Mānuka honey” to your life in this delicate but beautifully magical phase.
